Ride the Hill - Trampa Challenge 13th & 14th September 2008

Trampa have teamed up with Ride the Hill to bring to you the worlds' infamous Ride the Hill - Trampa Challenge 2008”.

Riders and spectators are invited down to XPB to ride with some of the top riders from around the world and take part in a unique competition, with cash prizes, on the Sunday.

DJ's and bands will be entertaining us on the Saturday night and for those that will need too, for a small fee, camping has been allowed.

The event/competition will take on a new format to that experienced before and should allow riders of different ages and abilities to be able to ride in one harmonious event giving 3 category champions and 1 overall winner.

Competition classifications for the Sunday are as follows.

Ladies and under 16's
Under 25's
Over 25's

Entrants will pay £10 to enter the centre, competing is free.

Saturday is the open practice day, with practice running through until the evening. There will be a King of the Hill contest, rail session and night air on the Saturday night, of which you must enter one to obtain your "multiplier". Or you can enter all three and take your best score! Both the Rail Session and Night air will be to bands and DJ's doing their stuff!

After the night riding, DJ's will kindly escort us well into the night (and morning)

The Sunday will host the International Slopestyle Competition, which will kick off around midday (to give everybody time to recover from the night before!)

Each classification will run be separately. Points will be gained for the position the rider finishes in i.e. if there are 30 entrants in the under 25's, 1st place will score 30 points and last place will score 1 point.

Points will then be carried over into the slopestyle and the score gained in the slopestyle will be multiplied by that of the night session.

The idea is that the more entrants there are in the age group the harder it is to score the highest points. When multiplied together everyone should have a different score regardless of the age category, this should give one overall winner/ champion for the weekend!

This should give some interesting results and the true champion will shine!

Prizes to be won

Combined overall Champion £100 cash.

1st place in each category £50 voucher + Trampa Hoodie, jacket and other merchandise from sponsors

2 nd place in each category £25 voucher + Trampa Hoodie and other merchandise from sponsors

3 rd place in each category Trampa Merchandise and other donations from sponsors

A well priced top quality Barbeque and cold drinks will be run by Ted from Trampa's father, Tweedie Orr, on the Saturday night, Sunday morning and afternoon. All profits from the food and drinks will go towards the staff and running of the event rather than some dodgy burger bar ripping you off!

Call Ted @ Trampa on 07734 905883 or Andy @ RTH on 0845 0944 360 for more details.

To put an end to rumours, you dont have to ride a Trampa board to take part in the Trampa Challenge, everyone is welcome.
