So what are they talking about ? The new Ride the Hill Advanced Lesson .
The Advanced Lesson is ideal for riders who have reached a plateau in their riding and want to take their riding further but are being held back by their technical ability and confidence.
So what happens during the 4 hour lesson ?
To start with the instructors assess the riders ability and find out which areas the riders are aware they need / want to improve. Normally this will be, help with speed control (scrubbing off speed), precison powerslide at speed, linking turns at speed and general stance and body position.
Once any initial technical weaknesses have been ironed out the instructors head off to the BoarderX course and talk through the theory of riding the track, then onto riding the individual features (ie berms, rollers table-tops) and how to link features together.
After a short lunch break the instructors will move onto the freestyle, again starting with the theory and description of features and tricks (kickers, rails, rotations...) moving on to riding the features and pulling the tricks.

I'll definately be back for more lessons in the future and would recommend to any rider out there, everyone can push themselves more and once you do, you will enjoy the sport so much more, if that is already possible!!!"

“I think the lesson has turned out to be a great investment. £20 for 4 hours of tips from experts is nothing and the advice was massively valuable" Dan Smith, XBP centre |
