RTH - Hi Rob!

Rob - Hi,

RTH - Cheers for your time today mate, tell us abit about yourself...

Rob - I'm Rob or Bob Phillips and I guess you could call me the slack one of the team. I've been mountainboarding for a while but back in the old days, I was really into skateboarding.

RTH - Love it, Skateboarding is a great way to get into this sport mate, can see why you converted though........ :) What are your main influences in your riding mate?

Rob - I feel my riding has been influenced a lot by skateboarding and watching a lot of snowboard movies.

RTH - Thats it thats all yeah? Sweet, we love the white stuff! Where is your favourite spot to shred mate?

Rob - My favourite place to ride is XBP Mountainboard Centre but I also like most of the other centres, anywhere we can have a laugh and not take it too seriously or think about getting better, just having fun.

RTH - And your perfect day?

Rob - A perfect day for me would start off building a cool new feature then session it with a load of people.

RTH - Like your benches hey! New features rock, contious progression! What are you looking forward to this year mate?

Rob - This year I'm really looking forward to the RTH Big Ramp Tour but it's also going to be cool to get the new super cross track finished and riding that.

RTH - We can't wait for the new track, not long now mate! What are feeling this year?

Rob - My favourite thing is just to ride a really smooth jump but I'd love to learn backside 5’s as I think they are one of the coolest looking tricks.

RTH - Second that dude. What is your favourite thing about being on the Ride the Hill team?

Rob - The best thing about being on the Ride the Hill Team is getting to ride with everyone a lot, most people are down on a Saturday which is great to get a good session going.

RTH - Group sessions are great fun, really brings the sport into its prime. What board are you riding?

Rob - My set-up is a 16 ply long TRAMPA with TRAMPA Vertigo Trucks, TRAMPA Superstar Hubs, MBS T1 Tyres & F4 Ratchet Bindings.

RTH - Rocking it with style dude! What is your happiest Mountainboard memory?

Rob - My happiest Mountainboard Memory is landing my first backflip that was super sweet.
