RTH - Hi Alan!

Alan - Hi,

RTH - Great to see your in good spirit! Lets get on with this.......... how long have you been boarding and how did you keep busy before?

Alan - I've been mountainboarding for about 2 years, I was really into Skateboarding and Rock Climbing.

RTH - That is cool, more extreme than Ieuan's Tiddlywinks hobby! What has influenced your boarding mate?

Alan - I feel my riding has been influenced a lot by My Skateboarding Past and Andy’s Bullying.

RTH - Andy........bullying.......never.......... ha. Given the choice, where do you like to board the most?

Alan - My favourite place to board is Ride the Hill XBP Mountainboard Centre of course but I also enjoy Knockhill MBC

RTH - Both are very cool centres, we were just checking out the new stuff at Knockhill, looks sweet! What is your perfect day?

Alan - A perfect day for me would start off with a big breakfast and a quick swim then I'd go boarding with the rest of the team and end with a few beers at home with my wife.

RTH - Now that sounds good! Can we have beers with your wife too........? What are you looking forward to the most for the 2010 season?

Alan - This year I'm really looking forward to Demo-ing at Newquay Boardmasters and the Cream Teas and Jam series but it's also going to be cool to enter some of the Nationals rounds for the first time.

RTH - I think we are all looking forward to Boardmasters! Which style of riding do you prefer dude? What would you like to learn this year?

Alan - My favourite Style of riding is Jibbing and Quarterpipe and I'd love to learn how to steal Renny Myles style!

RTH - We would all love to steal that style, he is a sick rider. What is your favourite part of riding on the team?

Alan - Riding with The RTH team helps me progress because I have to make sure I’m better than Ieuan! No, seriously the best thing about being on the Ride the Hill Team is the camaraderie and being able to ride at one of the best centres in the UK for free!

RTH - Good call. What board do you ride mate?

Alan - My set-up is 35 Long 16 Ply TRAMPA with Scrub Channel Trucks, G.I Talon Bindings, G.I Crosshair Hubs & Black Primo Alpha Tyres.

RTH - That is a sweet board. What is your happiest Mountainboarding memory?

Alan - My happiest Mountainboard Memory is just riding with my friends, there’s too many to choose from!

RTH - and what about your best Mountainboard achievement?

Alan - My best Mountainboard achievement is learning to flip, MJing the top of the big quarter at Bugs or 5th in Cream Teas 09 Round 1 (my first competiton)
